What a Week.....

Doubled- Fisted

It was that kind of a week.

It was a LONG week...

I said good bye to a friend.

I am a better artist, teacher and person for having known her.....

Our sweet dog Buck was very sick this week....

He was bit by a tick as a puppy and for the last eight years

he has had episodes of serious illness as a result...

Luckily, we have a rock star veterinarian
who can usually fix him up...

Theo had a follow up doctor's appointment this week

Unfortunately, he still has an ear infection even after antibiotics-

We will likely be recommended to an ENT doctor in the near future....

The plus side is that since T started his new antibiotic,

he slept through the night for the first time since 12-24-2011,

Sadly, I remember the date....

I am OBVIOUSLY on the phone WAY TOO MUCH....

The shining moment of our week proved to be a phone call....

3 weeks ago I sent a photo album to Ethiopia with another adoptive

family. They were visiting Asella, where Theo was born. I was

hopeful that the updated photos could be delivered to an

Ethiopian family who is very special to us...

The stars needed to align in order for this meeting to take place.

Tonight, I received confirmation that the family received the album

and they were 'over the moon' to see the updated photos of Theo.

What an unexpected blessing.

5 months

I can hardly believe it has been almost 5 months.

I look at pictures and marvel at the strides Theo has made....

Gone is my quiet boy who did not move off the carpet,

this guy is on the move and he babbles all the time....loudly.

Teeth

The teething continues and he is eating more chew food...

Theo's favorite foods these days are ones he can pick up and feed himself.

Mom is living on the edge of the choking bubble...

Oh sweet sleep....you are so elusive....

Theo is one happy little guy & he seems to survive

quite well on very little sleep.... His naps have improved

but he is still waking up at night, often several times.

I am exhausted....Theo is happy as a clam.

I love the happiness in this image...

Theo spends 2 days a week with his buddy Roba

They share toys, laughs, germs and a history.

The changes in their short lives is astounding.

My sweet valentine...

He is sweet

He is silly

His smile lights up the room.

He stole my heart.

It is a good thing we have a superstar babysitter with lots of energy.

Of course, he choose to reach this milestone while I was at work.

But I have the world's best babysitter....

She took tons of video...We love you Cara!

To say he is steady is an understatement

I believe he is jogging..... I am in BIG, BIG trouble.

Tennis Balls and the Remote Control

The absolute best part of this game...

our 100 pound lab Buck

who runs through the house to retrieve

the balls & brings them back to Theo & drops them in his lap…

When we are not playing catch with Buck

Theo loves to manipulate the remote control….

Yep he’s a boy…..
