Run like an Ethiopian.

A few weeks back we had the Flying Pig Marathon,
we watched several friends run the marathon.
Theo shared advice with 2 of his favorite runners Frank and Sam....
Do you want to win?

Snow Week....

Last week, I was hoping for a snow day.
It would be so nice to extend the president's day weekend.
Mission accomplished: 4 days: two for snow and 2 for extreme cold.

How we spent our winter fun week....

Some sledding with the cousins on the "BIG" hill.
yes, I made him wear a helmet.

a little swimming

snowmen and snow ball fights

and a little hockey at the rink
Did I mention LIFE IS REALLY GOOD

These days......

I am totally entertained by a small boy
with a HUGE personality

Hockey players always carry their own equipment
even when the bag weighs more than the player.
Pride, Sass, & Independence.

Brother Buck and the naked bears.

I often wish I could be a fly on the wall at preschool.
Teachers who educate the littles, must have the best stories.

This week, the preschool teacher was confused.
While creating family books my sweet child insisted
that his 15 year old brother, Buck, be included.
His teacher was perplexed, as she thought
young Theo was an only child.
My babysitter had to break the news.
Buck is his dog.

This week also included the much anticipated
Teddy Bear Picnic.
Theo was very excited to take his 'hockey bear' to school
I asked him on the way home how it went

T: Mom today was weird at school
M: Really? Why was it weird.
T: Well, all those other bears.... they were naked!
M: What? Oh! Yes, I suppose they were.....

HOORAY for FOUR

My hockey obsessed, independent, smart and sassy boy is FOUR!
I can't believe how quickly time has passed.

Best birthday gift was from his idol, cousin Luke,
all the hockey gear a boy could want and a bag to carry it.
And a stick personalized for this lil' EThiopian hockey guy.

He has now graduated to full gear
but
Theo's dreams remain the same.
