Vacation eve

This week we spent a lot of time with the cousins.
We are looking forward to summer vacation...
and I am hopeful T's 9 cousins will wear him out.

Today was a fun day
We tried out the waffles at the local coffee shop
and ate dinner at Habesha, an Ethiopian restaurant.
T liked the waffle once I added syrup and at dinner
he liked running around with his buddies, and the apple juice boxes.
How we managed a picture, I will never know.

Nana

With shock and great sadness, we lost sweet Nana this week.
She was a source of strength, love and joy in our lives
She will be greatly missed.

New Friends

I have one funny kid...
Today when we walked into Old Navy...
T welcomed the mannequins like old friends,
giving each a hug and kiss....
A good chuckle was had by many.

Spring!

Spring, glorious Spring!!
We are beyond glad to welcome you back,
Let's start with Easter...

The wacky spring weather conditions are interesting,
Easter was rainy and cold,
we hunted eggs in the house with the cousins after church
It is a full house these days & fun was had by all!

Our neighbors truly rock, I would be lost without them.
This is by far the most humorous gift, the singing hen who lays eggs.
Thank you Donna!

 Uncle Pete and T

Rain puddles, riding cars, bubbles, bikes,
the park, trampoline and taking walks with the neighbors.

Last week, we visited Uncle Jerry at the office.
It was an open house with fire trucks, hoses, police cars and a band.
Despite T's face, we had a blast!

Today, we joined our friends to watch the Flying Pig Marathon
We saw the 1st runners breeze by and hung out for an additional 3 1/2 hours,
it was a great morning!

 Although Spring has been glorious
I am beyond ready to shut the door on the school year.
We are ready for S U M M E R!!

Chalk Mural

About 2 weeks ago my friend,
former soccer player and fav weekend babysitter
sent me a beautiful drawing of Theo that she adapted from a photo
I took in December.  She entered a contest at school,
students submit drawings and 10 drawings are chosen.
The selected student drawings are created on the sidewalk in a
8 foot square in chalk.  Sophie's drawing was selected and today she spent
7 hours in chilly weather drawing the mural.  I was so impressed
with her work and very touched she choose Theo as her subject.

The artist, the teacher...Thanks Sophie!
