Teeth

Theo has 3 new teeth...

be careful what you wish for...

WHEW this is tough....new teeth... not so fun.

I have been told if adults had to go through teething

we would need some MAJOR drugs...

it is that painful....

but why, oh why, is it extra painful at night?

I am such a better parent at 9 am as opposed to 4 am.

JOY!

This year's holiday was quite simply amazing...

to see the holiday through a child's eyes is a gift in itself-

Theo attended mass for the 1st time this morning...

He quite enjoyed the music, and participated by singing and clapping.

He may not understand the reason for the season but he is a huge fan

of Grammy's nativity scene, in Theo's world, sometimes the angel and sometimes

sheep sing form the rooftop of the barn....

These four made some joyful noise today....

By mid morning Theo was sacked out....

We headed out for a walk after round 1, it was an unusally warm day

Round 2 started up in the late afternoon...

AND

Guess what showed up this morning.....

Tooth #2!

Ever so lucky, ever so blessed....

One Tooth Wonder

Have I mentioned about my one tooth wonder.....

Theo has been in the teething zone for 2 months

All the signs are there, but only one tooth has made an appearance.

Such a hard thing to photograph, that elusive single tooth-

Good thing my sweet boy has a GIGANTIC smile...

Santa

Today was an exciting day, breakfast with Santa....

Fun, food, balloons, marionettes, & face painting

and about the big guy in the red suit with all that hair....

not the biggest fan....

We were treated to beautiful views of the city

this might have been Theo's favorite part of the morning.

Dogs and Babies

I like photography, and I believe I take some decent pictures....

Babies and dogs are great subjects & in the past I have taken great shots of both....

but when you put the two together.... to quote Winnie the Pooh....

"Oh Bother"

Side note: the dog sat still throughout the shoot.....

I return to work on Monday, it is hard to believe it has been 12 weeks since I boarded a plane for Ethiopia. Things are going really well, Theo is healthy and happy. Last week, we attended a friend's birthday party... The guests included 4 children from Ethiopia, one child from China, and one child from Germany. We joked it was like an advertisement for Benetton.... Theo and I also had a photo shoot with a fabulous photographer... All in all a great week.
